Go to Appearance → Customize to change White Spektrum’s look. You can preview every change before you publish it. White Spektrum groups its options into panels whose names start with Theme:.
Theme: Header
- Branding: your site title and tagline.
- Header Image: White Spektrum comes with a default header image. To use your own, upload one here. The recommended size is 2000 × 1200 pixels.
- Colors → Header Text Color: the color of your site title and tagline over the header.
Theme: Content
- Homepage Settings: choose whether your home page shows your latest posts or a static page.
Global Layout: choose where the sidebar appears across your site:
- Left Sidebar (default)
- Right Sidebar
- Feature Image → Feature Image Size: choose Landscape: Medium (default) or Landscape: Large for featured images on your posts.
If you change the featured image size after you’ve already uploaded images, run the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin so your existing images are resized.
Theme: Footer → Credit
- Show random “powered by” credit text: turns the credit line on or off. It’s off by default.
- Custom Footer Text: write your own footer text instead.
Theme: Global
- Additional CSS: add your own CSS without making a child theme. For bigger changes, use a child theme.
Menus
Under Appearance → Menus you can assign two menus:
- Primary Navigation: on small screens, the menu button sits at the bottom left, where it’s easy to reach with your thumb.
- Social Navigation: for links to your social profiles.
Widgets
Under Appearance → Widgets:
- Primary: shown beside your posts, archives, and the 404 page.
- Secondary: shown beside your pages.
