Prismatic includes page templates that change the layout of individual pages. When editing a page, choose one from the Template dropdown in the Page Attributes box.
Showcase
A front page made of sections: Introduction, Portfolio, and Blog. You turn each section on and edit it in Appearance → Customize → Theme: Home.
To use it as your home page:
- Create a new page, for example “Home”, and set its template to Showcase.
- Go to Settings → Reading and set Your homepage displays to A static page, then choose that page.
- Go to Appearance → Customize → Theme: Home and enable the sections you want.
The Portfolio section shows items from the Backdrop Custom Portfolio plugin, so install that plugin if you want to use it.
Left Sidebar and Right Sidebar
These place the sidebar on the left or right of a single page, whatever the global layout is. They use the Subsidiary widget area, so you can give these pages different widgets from the rest of your site.
Custom Sidebar
Shows the Custom widget area beside the page. It’s useful for a contact or landing page that needs its own widgets.
