Requirements
- ClassicPress 2.0 or later
- PHP 7.4 or later
Download the theme
Inheritance is free. Download the latest version from the Inheritance releases on GitHub. You’ll get a .zip file. Don’t unzip it, as you’ll upload the zip as-is.
Upload and activate
- In your dashboard, go to Appearance → Themes and click Add New.
- Click Upload Theme, choose the Inheritance
.zipfile, and click Install Now. - Once it’s installed, click Activate.
That’s it. Inheritance is now your active theme. Next, head to Customizing Inheritance to make it your own.
Updating
To update, download the newest version and upload it the same way. When asked, choose to replace the current version with the uploaded one.
Any changes you made directly to Inheritance’s files will be lost when you update. To keep your customizations safe, use a child theme.
