Go to Appearance → Customize to change Generosity’s look. You can preview every change before you publish it. Generosity groups its options into panels whose names start with Theme:.

Theme: Header

• Branding: your site title and tagline.
• Header Image: Generosity comes with three header images: the Andromeda Galaxy (the default), the Sombrero Galaxy, and a MacBook Pro. Pick one of them or upload your own. The recommended size is 1170 × 350 pixels, and the header is flexible, so other sizes work too.

Theme: Content

• Homepage Settings: choose whether your home page shows your latest posts or a static page.

• Layout: choose where the sidebar appears across your site:

  • Left Sidebar (default)
  • Right Sidebar
  • No Sidebar

Theme: Footer → Credit

• Enable random credit text: shows a random “powered by” line in the footer. It’s off by default.
• Custom Credit: write your own footer text instead.

Theme: Global

• Additional CSS: add your own CSS without making a child theme. For bigger changes, use a child theme.

Menus and widgets

• Appearance → Menus: assign a menu to Primary Navigation, shown in the header.
• Appearance → Widgets: add widgets to the Primary widget area, shown in the sidebar.
