Customizing Creativity

Go to Appearance → Customize to change Creativity’s look. You can preview every change before you publish it.

Theme: Header

Branding: your site title and tagline.
Header Image: upload an image to display in the header. The recommended size is 2000 × 1200 pixels.

Theme: Content

Homepage Settings: choose whether your home page shows your latest posts or a static page.
Global Layout: choose where the sidebar appears across your site:
- Left Sidebar (default)
- Right Sidebar

Home Section

These options control the sections on a page that uses the Home template. The Home Section panel only appears when the Backdrop Custom Portfolio plugin is active.

Header Section: an introduction with a Title and Description.
Portfolio Section: your portfolio items, with a Title and Description.
Blog Section: your two latest posts.

Each section has an Enable checkbox, and all three are off until you turn them on.

Theme: Footer → Credit

Show random “powered by” credit text: turns the credit line on or off. It’s off by default.
Custom Footer Text: write your own footer text instead.

Theme: Global

Additional CSS: add your own CSS without making a child theme. For bigger changes, use a child theme.

Menus

Under Appearance → Menus you can assign two menus:

Primary Navigation, shown in the header.
Social Navigation, for links to your social profiles.

Widgets

Under Appearance → Widgets you’ll find four widget areas. See Page templates for where each one appears.
